Hazards: | 4' tall fence around helipad. Hospital SW. 2015-01-13 SAFETY NOTICE! Today RGH will begin a construction project that is scheduled to last approximately one year. The contractors have set a construction trailer in the small parking lot on the south west side of the helipad. They may also utilize this area for some fabrication and storage of supplies. Until further notice please ask your pilots not to land or “power-up” the aircraft for takeoff until given permission to do so by Regional Command or Security. Prior to landing and take-off Security will do a safety check of the area and the trailer to ensure there is no loose debris or other hazard that could pose a safety issue for the aircraft or anyone in the immediate vicinity of the helipad. IF YOU PLAN ON REMAINING "HOT" PLEASE NOTIFY REGIONAL cOMMAND PRIOR TO LANDING SO THEY CAN SEND ADDITIONAL SECURITY. This may at times require you to orbit the hospital until Security can get up there and perform their checks or to wait a few minutes before powering up for take-off. Please make your staff aware at all bases of this new process and safety hazard. If you have question or concerns don’t hesitate to give me a call. Thanks!
