LZ Information
Location/Description:
Hazards: On approach you will have two 338' MSL towers off to your left. They are out in the country south of the town of Onancock. North of the new hospital is a private grass airfield. It looks active based on Google street view and aerial maps. There is a Piper Cherokee registered to the owner that looks like it is based at the field. East of the hospital is Highway 13 and a strip mall. It looks clear of towers and other obstructions. South of the hospital a mile or more is one large tower along the highway as well as the Accomac County Airport. The airport looks similar in activity to many GA airports. They report 38 movements per day, 5-6 are IFR movements. Aircraft range from Cessna Citation jets down to Cessna 172's.
