LZ Information
Location/Description: Roof pads West side of hospital -Aeromed 1 base. 2 separate helipads. North Pad, Marked with "1" Aeromed 1 primary spot and South Pad marked with "2" is usually reserved for transient aircraft. Pilots will need to relocate to their preferred location after dropping off crew. TPA and TPF are closest airports. There is no preference but advise dispatch if you plan to shut down to off load. Dispatch can relay patient information to the appropriate department by calling in on air secondary VHF or by using UNICOM on 122.825. Hospital security and/or other trained personnel will escort flight crew from the roof lobby to PT drop-off or pick up location. Floor 2 - ER is the only floor accessible without a badge.
Hazards: Building east of pad. Use caution of watercraft in river next to pad. TGH Aeromed-1 aircraft remains on pad when not on active flight. Aircraft is on the North pad. Pirate ship docked across the river on most days with tall masts. Tall buildings in the area, tallest obstacle 630 ft.
